Alienkin are otherkin that identify as creatures from other planets or within outer space. Due to the potential for variety presented, alienkin are one of the most diverse kintypes, and do not have a representational standard.
Common alienkin comforts include symbols of stars, planets, UFOs, and little green men.
Alienkin and Starseeds[]
Starseeds are a New Age community of people who feel they were sent to earth for a spiritual purpose. Many consider starseeds to be a subtype of alienkin,[Citation needed] while others believe starseeds to be entirely separate, or even not otherkin at all.
The main difference between alienkin and starseeds is that alienkin most often consider themselves to work by the usual spiritual and mental theories of most otherkin, while starseeds can often include more unusual theories, such as being sent for a benevolent or malevolent reason, or even having been sent to earth as alien young.[Citation needed]
