Cladokin (Also called a cladotherian), are people who nonphysically identify as an entire clade or species rather than one specific animal.
Some examples of what a cladokin/cladotherian can identify as would be a clade or species such as Canis or Canidae, or a broader grouping. The species that a cladokin/cladotherian identifies as does not have a specific name but are often called theriotypes or kintypes. A more specific example would be, if someone identified as all kinda of tigers instead of a Bengal tiger, or if someone identifies as all felines instead of just tigers specifically.
Cladokin/Cladotherians are considered to be a subcategory of therians or otherkin, both of which mean to identify as a nonhuman animal in a nonphysical way (though therians are limited to real animals/animals that live on earth, while otherkin are limited to animals that do not exist/mythical creatures).
Just like therians or otherkin, cladokin/cladotherians can all experience their identities in different ways.
Other Notes[]
So uhm.. I wasn't sure if I had permission to edit this page, but i felt like i could help out since i am a cladokin/cladotherian. But, in case no one wanted me to edit this page i put what it used to say below:
Alternatively called cladotherian. A subcategory of otherkin wherein an individual does not identify as a distinct species, but instead a broader identity encompassing an entire genus (such as Canis or Canidae), or a larger grouping.
