Naia Ōkami (born 1994) is a transgender British Columbia wolf and red fox therianthrope. She was the founder and administrator of Kinmunity.
Otherkin community history
From a young age, Ōkami felt that she was "not human" on the inside. After watching the anime series Wolf's Rain at age twelve, she gained a fascination with wolves and as she read more about them and began to understand them, she began feeling as if she were "a wolf in a human body".
Ōkami first entered the online therian community through the now-defunct WereNet. She "didn't find werelist members to be the friendliest bunch" and ended up migrating to Werelist where she eventually became a docent staff member. In October of 2011, Ōkami founded the Wulf Howl otherkin community. She later founded Kinmunity in December of 2014, followed by Wolf Howl in 2020. Kinmunity ceased operations in September 2022.[1]
In February 2021, Naia confirmed that she was hellhound kin.
