Otherkin Wiki is still getting off its feet after an extended period of little to no activity and unregulated additions, so this page is a little slapdash right now.
First, you should probably learn About this wiki to make sure we're all on the same page about our goals. Next, see our sourcing guidelines and notability guidelines to learn the practical ins and outs. After that, you have a number of options:
- Our single biggest objective right now is the Otherkin page itself. It's ostensibly this wiki's flagship article, and it gets a huge amount of traffic, so it's critically important. The draft version is here, and it's around 70% done. For now, it doesn't need to be complete as in 'comprehensive and thorough', just enough to get it out the door!
- The other major initiative we've got going on right now is the drive to identify which kintype(/theriotype/hearttype, etc) articles actually have enough written about them to be notable. We're doing that by trawling the internet for sources and dumping them all in here to assess the quality and quantity, and then using what we've found to turn the articles around. If, after a period of time, some articles still don't have sufficient sources, they will be deleted.
- You're more than welcome to create articles! We maintain a list of ones that people have requested on the Article Requests page, but if you've got an idea, and it's notable and within our scope, you can take the initiative. You can create a draft page by going to your own profile, and adding /NameOfDraft to the end of the url.
- There's still some policy stuff to figure out, like rules around illustrating articles and general style guidelines, but these are a lower priority. That said, if you have any thoughts, feel free to share em!
