Skunkkin is a kintype where one identifies as a skunk. Skunkkin may believe they were reincarnated from a skunk, that they are spiritually connected to skunks, identify with skunks because they feel disconnected from being human, or feel a connection to skunks for another reason.
Skunkkin may enjoy quiet breaks away from other people. Skunks are most active at twilight, so skunkkin may enjoy the sunset or sunrise hours of the day the most. Skunkkin may enjoy wearing clothing with black and white stripes, and those who dye their hair might find comfort in coloring theirs black and white to resemble their kintype species. Some skunkkin may find comfort in the smell of body odor, but it is always good to remember to maintain good hygiene as some people around a skunkkin may have sensory processing disorders or migraine headaches triggered by strong smells.
Skunks are omnivorous, so skunkkin may enjoy trying a variety of snacks varying from fruit, nuts, and mushrooms, to eggs, bird meat, and even edible insects. Skunks are particularly fond of honey; a skunkkin may find it enriching to try a snack like honey with raw honeycomb in the jar, or flavor their cooked food with honey. Skunks dig burrows that they nest in; a skunkkin may enjoy replicating a skunk burrow by building a pillow fort or repurposing a reading nook into a cozy den.
