Deer-cryptidkin (sometimes known as wendigokin) is someone who identify usually on a spiritual, psychological, and/or non-human level with being a deer-cryptid. A deer-cryptidkin can also believe they were a deer-cryptid in a past life and were reborn as a human through reincarnation. It should be noted that usage of the word wendigo is generally seen as offensive, as well as most depictions of wendigo in popular culture are often entirely incorrect to the original mythology. Discussion of the wendigo itself is often seen as inviting the spirit to you, although this page uses the word for clarity. It's heavily suggested not to identify with the wendigokin label, especially if one is not Algonquian, and to use alternative labels.
If one is considering that identity, but it is not related to deer, they could consider other alternative vaguer labels like Cannibal Spirit. It should also be noted that referring to wendigo themselves as cryptids is unadvised, as it is a sort of mythological creature. The label 'deer cryptid' could also refer to Not Deer, a supposed deer cryptid with disputed origins.
Deer-cryptidkin is under the mythkin identity and you could use both interchangeably but that's up to the beholder. Please note that the term deer-cryptidkin could have some different ways of spelling.
